On Valentine’s Day 2019 saw a major development in the effort to raise the minimum wage to $15 for thousands of Denver’s airport workers! Denver Mayor Michael B. HancockRobin Kniech, Denver City Council At-Large, and other members of Denver City Council stood alongside airport workers and members of UNITE HERE Local 23 and SEIU Local 105 to announce a $15 per hour minimum wage proposal for city employees and contractors who provide covered services to the city or on city property, like the airport.

(Congratulations, too, to Denver school teachers who reached an agreement to end their historic strike on this same day!
